UOP LLC's Shreveport plant in Louisiana produces more than 50,000 metric tons of catalysts each year, making up half of Honeywell's global supply for oil refining. UOP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Honeywell. A line 3 expansion was under construction in October 2025.
Overview
The plant produces more than 50,000 metric tons of catalysts each year. The Shreveport facility manufactures catalysts used in Oleflex, isomerization and hydroprocessing processes and for processing naphtha. The facility sits on 700 acres off Old Mooringsport Road.

- Honeywell UOP announced a $150 million investment in 2016 for a new catalyst production line. A construction area where line 3 is growing was noted in October 2025.

- Honeywell completed its acquisition of Dow's 50-percent stake in UOP on Nov. 30, 2005, making UOP a wholly-owned subsidiary of Honeywell. UOP LLC Shreveport Plant holds LPDES permit LA0125431, renewed with effect from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2030.
