Valar Atomics and NVIDIA announced in July 2026 that they are exploring a 30 MW AI factory in Emery County, Utah, at the Utah San Rafael Energy Lab near Orangeville. The concept is a waterless design paired with Valar Atomics reactor technology. No data-center operator, permit or construction start for the AI factory is on record. The reactor on the host site is a research unit that the Department of Energy describes in kilowatts, so the 30 MW load would be a new draw on whatever supply is arranged.
