Profile
- Site and ownership
- Industrial facilities continue to operate on a 30-acre southwest corner of the former DuPont site under a lease to W.R. Grace and Company. EPA reports that Chemours conveyed title to the former DuPont facility and the Grace lease to East Chicago Gateway Partners, LLC on June 29, 2018.
- Permits
- IDEM's December 2025 inspection summary found a valid permit, with a finalized permit modification taking effect on January 1, 2026. The facility has a separate storm water permit, INRM01114, and a damaged sanitary line to East Chicago meant discharging wastewater there was not an option.
