Colossus 2 is an AI training data center at 5420 Tulane Road in Whitehaven, Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, operated by xAI. It came online in January and xAI has filed a permit for a further 312,000-square-foot building on the adjacent parcel. Memphis Light, Gas and Water said its connection at the site was a general-services supply and not the supercomputer; the cluster is fed by an offsite gas plant in Southaven, Mississippi, and the TVA board has approved a direct grid connection. Reported load ranges from 210 MW for the first cluster to a claimed 1,000 MW.
