Summed by fuel_type at one poll it reproduces the system total.

Query contract

Preserve one canonical row per (event_time, asset_id) before aggregating.

Analysis rules

  • Fuel totals: sum(net_generation_mw) GROUP BY fuel_type at a single event_time (one poll); never sum across polls.
  • asset_id is AESO's own code (e.g. 'ACD1'), the same code on AESO's generation map and in aeso.asset_list.

Interpretation

  • event_time is when the collector polled AESO's report (every five minutes), not a time AESO published; the report carries no source timestamp of its own.
  • maximum_capability_mw is current capability, not nameplate capacity.
