Brooklyn Navy Yard Cogeneration is an operating natural-gas-fired combined-cycle cogeneration facility located at 63 Flushing Avenue, Building 41, in the Brooklyn Navy Yard in Kings County, New York. The facility comprises two Siemens V84.2 gas turbines, each equipped with a heat-recovery steam generator, two Siemens SST-800 steam turbines, Siemens SGen6-1000A generators, SPPA-T3000 controls, and two distillate-oil emergency generators. The facility produces 286 MW of electricity and supplies steam to Consolidated Edison, the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and the Red Hook Water Pollution Control Plant. Approximately 98% of generation is sold to Con Edison under a long-term power purchase agreement. The facility operates in NYISO Zone J and is owned by Brooklyn Navy Yard Cogeneration Partners, L.P., with current ownership divided between Axium BNY LLC (58.4%) and Mission Energy New York, Inc. (41.6%).
