Ellenburg Wind
The AES Corporation - Clinton County - NYISO
Ellenburg Wind is an 81 MW onshore wind facility in Clinton County, New York, operated since May 2008 with 54 GE 1.5 MW SLE turbines. The facility is interconnected to the New York Power Authority's 230 kV Ryan Substation under NYISO operational control and sells output at wholesale into the NYISO market. AES Corporation purchased the asset as part of the Valcour Wind Energy portfolio in December 2021 and is advancing a proposed repowering project to replace the existing turbines with up to 25 new turbines, targeting approximately 91 MW capacity and extending the facility's operating life by up to 30 years.
