EdgeConneX is a global data center developer and operator, building facilities from hyperlocal edge sites to hyperscale campuses. It is backed by EQT Infrastructure funds, which acquired it from Providence Equity Partners in 2020.

EdgeConneX builds and operates highly proximate, high-powered, purpose-built data centers for customers in any deployment, size or scale. EQT's January 2024 announcement cites a global footprint of 80 data centers in operation or development in more than 50 markets across North America, Europe, APAC and South America, and says capacity more than tripled since EQT's 2020 acquisition.

- In August 2020 EdgeConneX agreed to be acquired by EQT Infrastructure, which was buying the company from Providence Equity Partners. EQT Infrastructure IV and V back the company, and in January 2024 the EQT Infrastructure VI fund agreed to partner with EdgeConneX to build hundreds of megawatts of new data center capacity for hyperscale customers.
