Netrality owns and operates carrier-hotel style interconnection data centers and meet-me rooms in the central business districts of U.S. metros including Kansas City, Philadelphia, Houston, St. Louis, Chicago and Indy Telcom Center. It is backed by a Macquarie infrastructure fund.

Netrality reports 18 properties spanning 3.3 million square feet and over 100 megawatts of capacity in North America. Its published locations are Kansas City (1102 Grand and the KC2 site on Nieman Road), Philadelphia (401 North Broad), Houston (1301 Fannin), St. Louis (210 North Tucker and 900 Walnut), Chicago (717 South Wells) and two Indy Telcom Center buildings at 701 and 733 West Henry. It offers colocation, powered shell and wholesale data center solutions, and builds meet-me rooms in its properties so customers can exchange network traffic.

- Macquarie Infrastructure Partners bought Netrality in a deal that closed on August 30, 2019, with Netrality management partnering with Macquarie Infrastructure Fund IV to acquire the company from Abrams Capital Management. Netrality now describes itself as well-capitalized with a long-term investment from Macquarie Asset Management and as the largest privately held owner-operator of core interconnection facilities in the United States.

- Netrality targets a 42% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and a 90% reduction by 2040. It states that 100% of its data centers use renewable energy, and says wholesale customers can purchase renewable energy points up to 100% of their usage depending on market availability. It also cites waterless Delta Cube cooling technology for high-density deployments.
