Profile

Project scope: Construction of Aligned IAD-02 began shortly after the completion of IAD-01 in 2019 and the 438,460 sq ft building was completed in 2020. The facility is a 120 MW hyperscale data center on a 26‑acre campus.
Power and grid: 120 MW of utility service is reported for the exact facility.
Compute role: Aligned IAD-02 is the second building on Aligned's 26‑acre Ashburn campus. The building is designed to Tier III standards, offers 100% uptime SLA, supports mixed and high densities (air cooling plus provisions for liquid cooling), uses N+1 block redundant electrical topology with on‑site backup (3 MW generators, 2 MW UPS line‑ups reported), 415V A/B rack distribution, and targets sustainability measures including 100% renewable power and near‑zero WUE via closed‑loop chilled water.
Cooling and environment: air‑cooled, closed‑loop cooling. liquid cooling via DeltaFlow™.
