Amazon Web Services has announced a data center campus in the Sunbury Business and Technology Park in Sunbury, Delaware County, Ohio, reported at 11793 Vans Valley Road. The city has approved annexation, zoning and contingent incentives, but other approvals are on hold under a temporary moratorium through January 31, 2027. A consultant told a public forum the campus could need between 100 and 300 MW depending on final size and design, and Amazon has not given a Sunbury-specific demand figure. AWS is negotiating electricity supply with AEP Ohio and plans reclaimed wastewater for closed-loop cooling. Amazon says construction would begin in 2028 with buildings opening in phases through 2033.
