Cannon Falls Energy Center is a 350 MW natural gas peaking plant in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, owned and operated by Invenergy. It has two General Electric 7FA simple-cycle combustion turbines of about 175 MW each, built with GE as engineering, procurement and construction contractor. It began commercial operation on May 19, 2008, and all of its output is sold to Xcel Energy under a long-term power purchase agreement.
