CH Resources Syracuse
CH Resources Syracuse is an operating 102.7 MW natural-gas-fired combined-cycle facility located at 300 Belle Island Road, Solvay, Onondaga County, New York. The facility is equipped with a Siemens V64.3 stationary gas turbine, SCR emissions control, and emergency diesel backup equipment. The plant originally operated as a cogeneration facility selling electricity to Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation and steam to the New York State Fairgrounds; both contracts terminated by mid-1998, after which the facility sold electricity wholesale into the NYISO market. The facility is currently owned by Lakeside Syracuse LLC (100% subsidiary of Vistra Corp.) and connected to the Niagara Mohawk transmission system at 115 kV in NYISO Zone C. It generated 16.1 GWh annually as of 2024.
