Carr Street Generating Station, located at 64 Carr Street, East Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York, is a natural-gas-fired combined-cycle electric generating facility comprised of three generators. The facility began commercial operation in December 1993 as a cogeneration facility and has transitioned to merchant wholesale generation, selling all output into New York Independent System Operator wholesale markets. It is interconnected with Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid at 115 kV and holds exemption from federal regulation as an exempt wholesale generator. The facility was owned by Brookfield-controlled entities until June 30, 2026, when ownership transferred to Syracuse Power Holdings, LLC, a Rockland Capital–affiliated buyer. Equipment includes two GE LM6000 PA gas turbines, two unfired heat-recovery steam generators, and one Mitsubishi steam turbine.
