Buildings: 2
Construction: The operator dates Data Foundry 01's opening to 2011 and Data Foundry 02's opening to late 2017. Its September 2016 announcement described DF02 as a three-phase, 325,000-square-foot development with approximately $200 million in planned investment. Austin Energy's 2018 assessment identifies 153,764 square feet of Texas 2 built in 2017. The campus page describes DF01 and the first DF02 phase; the ultimate planned footprint is not treated as completed construction.

Cooling systems: The Texas 2 brochure describes chilled-water cooling with dual water feeds, N+1 chillers and adiabatic humidification.
Fiber and connectivity: Data Ranch offers access to more than 15 network carriers and redundant carrier entrances. DF01's CloudTap service provides network access to public clouds, not evidence that those cloud companies occupy this campus.
Operating context: Wholesale and retail colocation, build-to-suit services and disaster-recovery workspace are offered on the campus. The operator markets support for high-density deployments; no installed accelerator or customer workload inventory is disclosed.
Environmental impacts: Austin Energy's 2018 Texas 2 assessment estimated 433 kW of demand savings and 2,321,832 kWh of annual energy savings from efficiency measures. These are estimated savings against a project baseline, not measured campus demand or electricity consumption.
Transactions: Switch acquired Data Foundry in 2021, according to both companies' current histories. The transaction covered a broader business than this Austin campus.
Community benefits: The approved Austin Energy rebate supported Texas 2 efficiency measures including cooling, lighting, motors and UPS equipment. The city's assessment identifies estimated savings; it is not a published annual performance audit.
