Fifth Standard Solar PV, LLC - Fresno County - CAISO
Fifth Standard Solar PV, LLC (Hybrid), located in Fresno County, California, is a 287-MW hybrid renewable-energy facility comprising a 150-MWac solar photovoltaic array with 369,334 photovoltaic panels and a co-located 137-MWac lithium-ion battery energy storage system with up to 548 MWh of capacity and a four-hour discharge duration. The facility connects to the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) grid through Pacific Gas & Electric Company's Gates Substation via a 230-kV generation-tie line. RWE Clean Energy owns and operates the project. The battery system, originally RWE's largest utility-scale storage facility, supports grid stability by storing excess solar energy for release during periods of highest demand.
