Freeport Energy Center is a 260 MW nameplate natural-gas cogeneration facility at Dow's Freeport complex in Brazoria County, Texas. EIA's May 2026 inventory lists a 180 MW combustion turbine and an 80 MW steam turbine, with 219.4 MW of combined net summer capability and May 2007 service dates. Fengate announced its acquisition of the facility from Calpine in October 2020. The current EIA registered operator is Dow Hydrocarbons and Resources LLC.
