Oyster Creek Unit VIII is a four-generator natural-gas combined-cycle cogeneration plant in Brazoria County, Texas. EIA's May 2026 inventory reports 497.9 MW nameplate, 379 MW net summer, and 430 MW net winter capability across three combustion turbines and one steam turbine, all dated October 1994. Dow Chemical Company-Oyster Creek VIII is the current registered operator. Historical public records show a long-term steam-and-power relationship with Dow and a 50% International Power interest, but the reviewed current registry evidence does not establish a complete current ownership split.
