Hobbs Generating Station

Hobbs Generating Station is an operating natural-gas-fired combined-cycle facility located at 98 N. Twombly Lane in Hobbs, Lea County, New Mexico. The facility entered service in September 2008 and comprises four generators totaling 681.5 MW of nameplate capacity: a 7.2 MW combustion turbine (CHW-T), two 196.9 MW combined-cycle combustion-turbine parts (GT1 and GT2), and one 280.5 MW combined-cycle steam turbine (ST3). The station is equipped with two Mitsubishi Power Systems M501F combustion turbines, two Aalborg Industries heat-recovery steam generators, and one GE Energy D11 steam turbine.
