Howard Down
Howard Down is a 68.2 MW natural gas fired combustion turbine plant in Cumberland County. The Howard M. Down Generating Station in Vineland, New Jersey, is run by the Vineland Municipal Electric Utility, the only municipally owned electric generating utility in the state. Its only significant source of emissions is Unit 11, a 64 megawatt generator powered by a simple cycle combustion turbine, in operation since 2011 and supplying the regional grid. Veolia's SourceOne served as owner's representative for the Unit 11 installation. The utility renewed its Title V air permit in 2023.
