Ludington is an operating six-unit pumped-storage plant on Lake Michigan. EIA lists 1,978.8 MW of nameplate capacity, while Consumers Energy describes the upgraded facility as 2,292 MW. Consumers Energy operates the plant and owns 51%; DTE owns 49%. Its current federal license runs through June 2069.
