Under Construction
Nexus Data Center Hubbard is a multi-phase data center campus under construction near Hubbard in Hill County, Texas, and it is built to run on its own natural-gas power plant. The first phase reached a Final Investment Decision in August 2026. Press coverage describes 600 to 612 MW proposed, 500 MW aimed for later in 2026, and an eventual expansion of around 7,700 MW. The applicant says it will not be physically interconnected with a utility distribution system, so the load shows up as onsite generation rather than a grid request.
State registration Nexus - Apex DFW HB1; filed schedule January 6, 2026 to October 29, 2027; estimated cost $400,000,000
State registration Nexus Apex HB2; filed schedule June 30, 2026 to January 5, 2028; estimated cost $400,000,000
