Operational Incident

Jul 13, 2024

The installed blade at Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) AW-38 failed and released debris into the environment. BSEE exercised regulatory authority and suspended further blade installation and power production. Root-cause analysis by GE Vernova and the installer determined the failure was due to a manufacturing deviation.
