WIN Waste Innovations - Westchester County - NYISO
Wheelabrator Westchester, also known as the Charles Point Resource Recovery Facility, is a 59.5 MW municipal solid waste waste-to-energy plant located at One Charles Point Avenue in Peekskill, Westchester County, New York. The facility uses three identical 750-ton-per-day MSW combustors with Von Roll reciprocating grates feeding heat-recovery Babcock & Wilcox boilers and a single ABB steam turbine-generator. Electricity is sold to Consolidated Edison, and excess steam is sold to White Plains Linen. The plant is currently operated by WIN Waste Innovations (formerly Wheelabrator Technologies) and remains operational.
