Overview

The current columns contain the Real-Time Reliability Deployment Price Adder for energy (RTRDPA), separate reliability-deployment adders for Regulation Up, Regulation Down, RRS, ECRS, and Non-Spin, plus the RUC/RMR, deployed-load, tie, and online-limit quantities describing the interval. RTRDPA is a direct component added to real-time energy LMP. Legacy ORDC columns remain only for older history and are not interchangeable with the current RTC+B fields.

Query contract

Use FINAL to retain one current row per event_time. For RTC+B intervals use rtrdpa and the rtrdpa_* columns; the legacy rtordpa/rtoffpa/rtordrs/rtoffrs columns describe a different pre-change market design and must remain separate.

Analysis rules

Align RTRDPA to the exact SCED timestamp before adding it to an energy LMP or comparing it with a price move.
Do not sum price adders across SCED intervals; report a matched interval, or average/max them with the aggregation named.

Interpretation

RTRDPA is a direct reliability-deployment component added to energy LMP, but a nonzero value does not identify the resource, instruction, or physical event that triggered the deployment.
RTRRUC and RTRRMR are relaxed lower-dispatch-limit quantities, not total committed capacity. RTDNCLR and RTDERS are deployed Load Resource and ERS quantities added to demand.

Ancillary Service PricesERCOT · hourly (DAM)	Hourly market clearing prices for the ancillary services ERCOT procures alongside energy in its Day-Ahead Market, broken out by product: Regulation Up (RegUp), Regulation Down (RegDown), Responsive Reserve (RRS), Non-Spinning Reserve (NSPIN), and the ERCOT Contingency Reserve Service (ECRS). These prices represent what the grid pays per megawatt to hold capacity in reserve for frequency control and contingency response, separate from the energy itself. Watching them shows when reserves are scarce and expensive (often during tight or volatile conditions), which informs how generators and storage operators allocate capacity between energy and reserve markets, and gives researchers a read on the cost of keeping the Texas grid reliable. ECRS, added in 2023, is the newest of these products and has at times cleared at notably high levels.
DAM Total AS SoldERCOT · hourly (DAM)	This dataset reports the total quantity of ancillary services ERCOT procured in its Day-Ahead Market, broken out by product (such as Regulation Up, Regulation Down, Responsive Reserve, ECRS, and Non-Spinning Reserve) for each delivery hour. These figures show how much reserve capability ERCOT set aside to keep supply and demand balanced and to respond to contingencies, separate from the energy cleared for actual generation. Paired with the per-product clearing prices, the cleared volumes let traders, researchers, and the public see how reserve requirements shift hour to hour and how much of the market's capacity is committed to grid reliability rather than energy. The data comes from ERCOT report NP4-532-CD (DAM Total AS Sold) and updates with each day-ahead market run.
ERCOT Day-Ahead Ancillary PricesERCOT · hourly (day-ahead)	Cleared day-ahead ancillary-service capacity prices in ERCOT, one row per hour and product. 365,717 rows, 2017-01 to the next delivery day. Products: reg_up, reg_down, spin, non_spin, ecrs. ERCOT procures ancillary services system-wide, so there is no region column — one price per product per hour. price_usd_mw is a price for CAPACITY held in reserve — dollars per megawatt of commitment — not dollars per megawatt-hour of energy delivered. The two are different units and are not comparable to an LMP.
Real-Time Ancillary-Service CapabilityERCOT · 5-minute (SCED)	ERCOT's current NP6-328-CD RTC+B report of total Resource capability available for ancillary-service combinations, one row per SCED execution and AS combination. Values are based on QSE telemetry, capped by Resource limits and, for batteries, by the service's duration requirement and available state of charge. This is the live replacement for the retired System AS Capacity Monitor, but it is capability—not procured awards, deployed reserves, or proof of a price cause.
