SPPAncillary Service Market Clearing PricesATG Data·SPP·Cleared ancillary-service prices by SPP reserve zone for both the real-time balancing market and the day-ahead market. SPP's product set does not map onto other ISOs': regulation clears as a separate service (capacity) price and mileage price in each direction (reg_up_service, reg_up_mile, reg_dn_service, reg_dn_mile), alongside ramp up and down, spinning, supplemental, and uncertainty products. IMPORTANT: reserve_zone mixes two grains. It carries the numeric ancillary reserve zones (1 through 5 under the SPP balancing authority, 21 under the separate SWPW balancing authority) AND the two balancing-authority roll-ups, 'SPP' and 'SWPW', whose prices equal those of their member zones. Aggregating across every value of reserve_zone double-counts the market.7.9M2014
ERCOTAncillary Service PricesATG Data·ERCOT·Hourly market clearing prices for the ancillary services ERCOT procures alongside energy in its Day-Ahead Market, broken out by product: Regulation Up (RegUp), Regulation Down (RegDown), Responsive Reserve (RRS), Non-Spinning Reserve (NSPIN), and the ERCOT Contingency Reserve Service (ECRS). These prices represent what the grid pays per megawatt to hold capacity in reserve for frequency control and contingency response, separate from the energy itself. Watching them shows when reserves are scarce and expensive (often during tight or volatile conditions), which informs how generators and storage operators allocate capacity between energy and reserve markets, and gives researchers a read on the cost of keeping the Texas grid reliable. ECRS, added in 2023, is the newest of these products and has at times cleared at notably high levels.468.1K2014
ERCOTAncillary-service capacity monitor HTMLATG Data·ERCOT·ERCOT's Ancillary-service capacity monitor HTML. Each row preserves a publisher record, workbook row, or report document with its source member and row index. Source timestamps, units, geographic scope, and revision qualifiers are retained in record_json; event_time is collection time; completed_at is when the entire document became available.0—
CAISOAncillary-Service Clearing PricesATG Data·CAISO·CAISO ancillary-service clearing prices by delivery interval, market run, region, and product. DAM is hourly; rtm_15m is the 15-minute real-time market. Despite the legacy column name mw_or_price, values in this table are prices in USD/MWh; zero is a valid clearing price.3.3M2009
CAISOAncillary-Service ProcurementATG Data·CAISO·CAISO ancillary-service procurement quantities by delivery hour, market run, region, product, and result type.49.7M2015
BPA Area Control ErrorATG Data·US reference·BPA's Area Control Error (CPS ACE) at 1-minute and 10-minute averages from 2013, posted yearly under FERC Order 784.7.5M2013
BPA Balancing Reserves DeployedATG Data·US reference·Balancing reserves BPA deployed every five minutes with the INC and DEC maxima available, plus the wind-limit (OCBR), oversupply-mitigation and EIM status flags, since August 2009.1.8M2009
CAISOCAISO Day-Ahead Ancillary PricesATG Data·CAISO·Cleared day-ahead ancillary-service capacity prices in CAISO, one row per hour, AS region and product. 2,172,326 rows, 2014-12 to now. Products: reg_up, reg_down, spin, non_spin, reg_mileage_up, reg_mileage_down. 12 CAISO ancillary-service regions (AS_CAISO, AS_NP26, AS_SP26 and their expanded variants). The expanded regions overlap the base ones by design — never sum across regions. price_usd_mw is a price for CAPACITY held in reserve — dollars per megawatt of commitment — not dollars per megawatt-hour of energy delivered. The two are different units and are not comparable to an LMP.3.3M2009
ISO-NECapacity ScarcityATG Data·ISONE·ISO-NE's published Capacity Scarcity source feed. This catalog page exposes the physical schema, coverage, and latest source rows without inventing a normalized grain for publisher-shaped snapshot fields. Use the documented key and event time when comparing revisions or vintages.1542026
SPPCleared Operating ReservesATG Data·SPP·Cleared ancillary-service quantities in MW by SPP reserve zone: regulation up and down, ramp up and down, spinning, supplemental, and both uncertainty products (unc_up and the short-term sts_unc_up). The quantity counterpart to the ancillary clearing prices. The same reserve_zone caveat applies: the column carries both the numeric reserve zones and the 'SPP' and 'SWPW' balancing-authority roll-ups, so aggregating across every value double-counts.6.3M2017
SPPDA and RUC Headroom / FloorroomATG Data·SPP·Published day-ahead market and RUC headroom/floorroom by BAA and native GMT interval end. It is a cleared/outlook report, not proof of realized operating reserves. Complete views require a matching receipt and mirrored row count; empty results are unknown coverage. Raw sources retain publication history internally.6722026
ISO-NEDAAS Reserve DataATG Data·ISONE·ISO-NE's published DAAS Reserve Data source feed. This catalog page exposes the physical schema, coverage, and latest source rows without inventing a normalized grain for publisher-shaped snapshot fields. Use the documented key and event time when comparing revisions or vintages.5.1K2026
ISO-NEDAAS Strike PricesATG Data·ISONE·ISO-NE's published DAAS Strike Prices source feed. This catalog page exposes the physical schema, coverage, and latest source rows without inventing a normalized grain for publisher-shaped snapshot fields. Use the documented key and event time when comparing revisions or vintages.5.1K2026
PJMDaily generation capacityATG Data·PJM·PJM's Daily generation capacity. Each row preserves a publisher record, workbook row, or report document with its source member and row index. Source timestamps, units, geographic scope, and revision qualifiers are retained in record_json; event_time is collection time; completed_at is when the entire document became available.2402026
ERCOTDAM Energy Storage Resource Data (60-Day)ATG Data·ERCOT·What each ERCOT battery offered into the Day-Ahead Market and what it was awarded, hour by hour, from the 60-Day DAM Disclosure Reports. Like the SCED storage file this subreport begins at RTC+B go-live on 6 December 2025. Each row is one hour for one storage resource and its QSE, carrying the QSE's submitted energy curve as up to ten monotonic MW/price pairs, the resource's high and low sustainable limits and status, the awarded energy quantity, its settlement point and that point's day-ahead price, and its ancillary awards with the matching market clearing price for capacity in each service (Reg-Up, Reg-Down, RRS-PFR, RRS-FFR, RRS-UFR, ECRS, Non-Spin). This is where day-ahead storage strategy is legible: how a fleet split its capacity between energy and reserves, what it was paid for each, and how its bid curve related to the price that cleared. It is a cleared-market record on a 60-day regulatory delay, not a live feed. Measured 2026-09-07: 3.2 million rows. The official source is ERCOT report NP3-966-ER, 60-Day DAM Disclosure Reports.2.0M2025
ERCOTDAM Total AS SoldATG Data·ERCOT·This dataset reports the total quantity of ancillary services ERCOT procured in its Day-Ahead Market, broken out by product (such as Regulation Up, Regulation Down, Responsive Reserve, ECRS, and Non-Spinning Reserve) for each delivery hour. These figures show how much reserve capability ERCOT set aside to keep supply and demand balanced and to respond to contingencies, separate from the energy cleared for actual generation. Paired with the per-product clearing prices, the cleared volumes let traders, researchers, and the public see how reserve requirements shift hour to hour and how much of the market's capacity is committed to grid reliability rather than energy. The data comes from ERCOT report NP4-532-CD (DAM Total AS Sold) and updates with each day-ahead market run.71.6K2025
NYISODay-Ahead Ancillary Service PricesATG Data·NYISO·NYISO day-ahead ancillary-service prices by pricing location, keyed by PTID, with separate columns for 10-minute spinning reserve, 10-minute non-synchronous reserve, 30-minute operating reserve, and regulation capacity. These prices show the reserve and regulation stack cleared before the operating day, complementing day-ahead energy LBMP for full market-context analysis.2.8M1999
CAISODay-Ahead Imbalance Reserve and Reliability Capacity PricesATG Data·CAISO·CAISO OASIS hourly marginal clearing prices for upward and downward imbalance reserve (IR) and reliability capacity (RC), by location and market run. Introduced with EDAM and DAME, these capacity products are distinct from energy LMPs.122.2M2026
SPPEast / West Area Control ErrorATG Data·SPP·Published signed ACE MW by qualified GMT clock and filename-derived SPP/SWPW footprint. Overlapping rolling snapshots collapse to the newest complete publication per instant and BAA. History accumulates prospectively; annual archive formats are not covered here. Complete views require a matching receipt and mirrored row count; empty results are unknown coverage. Raw sources retain publication history internally.12.8K2026
SPPEast / West Capacity and ObligationATG Data·SPP·Published East/West capacity and obligation snapshot, preserving LocalInterval as a source calendar label. event_time and published_at are file publication, not a converted local event clock. Source numeric units are not inferred from the bare Capacity and Obligation headers. Complete views require a matching receipt and mirrored row count; empty results are unknown coverage. Raw sources retain publication history internally.22026
ERCOTERCOT Day-Ahead Ancillary PricesATG Data·ERCOT·Cleared day-ahead ancillary-service capacity prices in ERCOT, one row per hour and product. 365,717 rows, 2017-01 to the next delivery day. Products: reg_up, reg_down, spin, non_spin, ecrs. ERCOT procures ancillary services system-wide, so there is no region column — one price per product per hour. price_usd_mw is a price for CAPACITY held in reserve — dollars per megawatt of commitment — not dollars per megawatt-hour of energy delivered. The two are different units and are not comparable to an LMP.466.1K2014

About ancillary services data

Ancillary service products hold capacity in reserve to balance frequency and respond to contingencies, and each market defines and prices them separately from energy. These datasets support comparisons across products, market runs, and delivery intervals while preserving the product names and units published by each operator.
