Overview
The binding transmission constraints from every run of ERCOT's Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) engine, roughly every five minutes: which constraint and contingency pair is binding, the limiting facility, the from and to stations, the constraint's MW limit against its actual flow, any violation amount, and the shadow price. The shadow price is the direct measure of congestion — the marginal system cost, in dollars per MWh, of one more MW of flow across the binding element — so this table names the physical cause behind every congestion-driven price separation that LMPs only show the symptom of. Traders use it to attribute basis moves to specific constraints and to anticipate which paths bind under similar conditions, while planners read it as a running ledger of where the network is out of room.
