Overview

Filter series before use; the system total must not be copied into local-resource-zone values.

Query contract

Select the latest ingested_at value for each series and source interval. Filter series before comparison or aggregation.

Analysis rules

series='actual_five_minute' is observed system load; cleared_hourly and medium_term_forecast are not observed load.
event_time is each interval's start. For cleared_hourly and medium_term_forecast, raw_interval is MISO's hour-ending number: 17 is 16:00-17:00 EST, stored at 16:00 EST.

Day-Ahead Cleared DemandMISO · hourly (Day-Ahead)	Hourly day-ahead cleared MISO demand by sub-region, separated into fixed, price-sensitive, and virtual demand. Virtual demand is a financial market position and must not be reported as physical electricity consumption.
Live Demand, Capacity, and Short-Term Reserve OutlookMISO · 1-minute snapshots	MISO's current and forecast system demand, committed and available capacity, plus next-day short-term reserve requirements. Filter record_type before aggregating: supply_demand and next_day_short_term_reserve are distinct grains. Historical forecast comparisons use the last snapshot known by delivery; future intervals use the latest snapshot known at the requested cutoff.
Load State Estimator by ZoneMISO · hourly	Real-time demand in MW by MISO load-state-estimator zone. These operational zone identifiers are source-native and should not be assumed to match planning-zone or local-resource-zone geography without an explicit crosswalk.
