Overview

The table is bitemporal: event_time is the delivery hour and source_time/init_date identify the forecast vintage, up to seven per delivery hour (one per day of lead), so select a vintage before evaluating forecast error.

Query contract

Select the latest source_time/init_date vintage for each target hour, region, and local resource zone before comparing or aggregating forecasts.

Analysis rules

  • Do not sum forecast vintages.
  • Keep regional totals separate from local-resource-zone rows unless the source hierarchy is explicitly established for the requested aggregation.
