CoreSite owns and operates 30 data centers in 11 strategic markets across the United States, with a portfolio totaling more than 4.8 million square feet. Its markets are Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Northern Virginia, Orlando, Raleigh, Silicon Valley and Washington D.C. It reports 500+ network providers and 44K+ customer interconnections, and offers direct connection to the major cloud providers through on-site cloud on-ramps and its Open Cloud Exchange.

- CoreSite started in 2001 as CRG West, a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group, created to serve interconnection and data center customers at One Wilshire in Los Angeles and 55 South Market in San Jose. It rebranded as CoreSite in 2009 with 11 data centers in seven markets, became publicly traded on the NYSE in 2010, and was acquired by American Tower in November 2021. In July 2022 Stonepeak acquired an ownership interest of approximately 29% in American Tower's U.S. data center business for $2.5 billion, and raised its total stake to around 36% in October 2022 with an additional $570 million.
