Adams Wind is a 154.3 MW onshore wind turbine plant in Adams County. Adams is a 154.28 MW wind farm in Adams County, Iowa, owned by MidAmerican Energy Company and placed in service on January 30, 2016, completing the utility's Wind IX project. The project was planned with 64 turbines supplied by Siemens, including MidAmerican's first concrete wind turbine tower, which measures 377 feet from ground to hub compared with 263 feet for most of its other turbines. MidAmerican lists Adams among its owned renewable projects in service.
