Allegany Cogen
A natural-gas-fired combined-cycle cogeneration facility in Hume, Allegany County, New York, owned by Allegany Generating Station LLC and operated under Alliance Energy New York, LLC. The facility uses a General Electric LM6000 gas turbine with a heat-recovery steam generator and duct burners, selective catalytic reduction for emissions control, and a General Electric steam turbine. Nominal gross rating approximately 62–65 MW. The facility was constructed by Ansaldo Industria of America and entered commercial operation in December 1994 as a Kamine/Besicorp project. RG&E acquired it through legal settlement in December 1998 and divested it to Alliance Energy in November 2013.
