Indeck-Yerkes Limited Partnership - Erie County - NYISO
Operating combined-cycle natural-gas cogeneration facility at 1 Sheridan Drive, Tonawanda, Erie County, New York, owned and operated by Indeck-Yerkes Limited Partnership. The facility comprises two operating generators with 40.6 MW and 19.3 MW nameplate capacity (totaling approximately 59.9 MW). It uses a General Electric Frame 6 (PG6541(B)) gas turbine and a GE steam turbine in a 1×1 combined-cycle configuration. Commercial operation began in December 1989. The facility provides electricity to the open market and historically supplied up to 75,000 lb/hr of low-pressure steam to the adjoining DuPont-Yerkes production plant.
