CPV Fairview Energy Center
CPV Fairview Energy Center is a 1,050 MW natural-gas-fueled combined-cycle power generation facility located in Jackson Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. The plant features two GE 7HA.02 combustion turbine generators, two heat-recovery steam generators, and a GE D602 steam turbine system in a 2×1 configuration. Kiewit engineered, procured, and constructed the facility, which achieved commercial operation in December 2019. The plant operates in the PJM footprint with interconnection to the Pennsylvania Electric Company 500-kV transmission system and sells power at the AEP-Dayton Hub price. NAES Corporation operates and maintains the plant. The facility is capable of blending ethane with natural gas and operates at greater than 63% net combined-cycle efficiency. The site was remediated from a brownfield condition and occupies approximately 30 acres.
