Colver Green Energy
Colver Green Energy is a 110-megawatt refuse coal plant in Colver, Pennsylvania, that began operation in 1995. Its circulating fluidized bed boiler burns refuse coal from long-abandoned coal piles, remediating over 700,000 tons per year of mine waste at full load. After being shuttered in May 2020, it was sold, and Colver Green Energy LLC, formed by the owners of Robindale, took over operation.
