Delaware City Plant is the industrial power plant complex at the Delaware City refinery in New Castle County, Delaware, on a 5,000-acre site on the Delaware River. A cogeneration plant burning gasified petroleum coke supplies electricity and steam to the refinery and third parties. Delaware City Refining Company LLC, a PBF Energy subsidiary, bought the refinery and a 218 MW power plant complex from Valero for $220 million in June 2010, and restarted operations in 2011.
