Doswell Energy Center

Doswell Energy Center is a 1,313 MW natural-gas-fired power plant located in Ashland, Hanover County, Virginia. The facility comprises nine generators organized into two combined-cycle blocks (UNT5 and UNT6) plus three simple-cycle combustion turbines. A 190.5 MW simple-cycle combustion turbine was added in 2001. A 340 MW Doswell II expansion consisting of two GE 7FA simple-cycle gas turbines entered service in 2018. at 230 kV, and operates in the PJM balancing area.
