Los Medanos Energy Center is a natural-gas-fired combined-cycle cogeneration facility located on a 12-acre site in Pittsburg, Contra Costa County, California, adjacent to the USS-POSCO steel mill. The facility consists of two General Electric Frame 7FA gas turbines, two Nooter/Eriksen heat-recovery steam generators, and one General Electric D11 steam turbine in a 2×1 configuration. Reclaimed water for cooling is supplied by the Delta Diablo Sanitation District.
