Markland is a 77.7-megawatt conventional hydroelectric station with three generating units in Switzerland County, Indiana, built into the Markland Locks and Dam on the Ohio River. The plant is owned and operated by Duke Energy Indiana, LLC, which holds the FERC license for the project, designated Project No. 2211. All three units remain in service with no plant-wide retirement scheduled. The station sells its output into the MISO market under Duke Energy Indiana.
