Miramar Energy Facility
Miramar Energy Facility is SDG&E’s two-unit natural-gas peaking plant at 6875 Consolidated Way in San Diego. The August 2026 EIA inventory lists two 53 MW combustion turbines, totaling 106 MW of nameplate capacity. SDG&E’s regulatory descriptions use different output ratings, including two 48 MW units; those ratings describe a different capacity basis. The facility supports local peaking needs and black-start service in the CAISO balancing area. Miramar’s gas turbines are separate from the nearby Top Gun battery energy-storage project.
