Morris Cogeneration LLC is a 218.8 MW natural gas fired combined cycle plant in Grundy County. Morris Cogeneration is a 192 MW combined heat and power plant in Morris, Illinois, in service since 1998. Three General Electric combustion turbines and a steam turbine produce power and steam on-site for LyondellBasell's Morris petrochemical facility, with surplus capacity sold to the grid. Fengate Asset Management acquired the plant from Atlantic Power and Utilities in December 2023 through its operating partnership with Ironclad Energy.
