Olney is a 19.8 MW facility in Young County, Texas, comprising a 9.9 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) and a 9.9 MW petroleum-liquids thermal peaker. Both units are operating: EIA's April 2026 monthly generator inventory lists generator OLNEY (Batteries, 9.9 MW nameplate and 9.9 MWh nameplate energy) in service since May 2023, and generator OLNYD (Petroleum Liquids, diesel-fired reciprocating engine, 9.9 MW nameplate) in service since April 2026, each at status "(OP) Operating". Owned and operated by HEN Infrastructure, L.L.C. under Hunt Energy Network, the facility is interconnected to the Texas-New Mexico Power distribution system in ERCOT's North region.
