Powell Creek Solar
Powell Creek Solar is a 150 MWac (202 MWdc) solar photovoltaic facility located in Palmer and Liberty Townships, Putnam County, Ohio, near Miller City. The project comprises photovoltaic panels, inverters, underground collection cables, a collection substation, access roads, staging areas, and perimeter fencing across approximately 950 acres of privately leased land. The facility interconnects at 138 kV through Lammer Station to the East Leipsic–Richland transmission line owned by Ohio Power Company (AEP) and delivers power to the PJM grid. Avangrid Power LLC operates the facility. The project is expected to power approximately 30,000 homes annually and contribute an estimated $31 million to local taxing jurisdictions over its lifetime.
