S C Moore
Moore Dam (listed in EIA-860 as "S C Moore") is a hydroelectric station on the Connecticut River at Littleton, New Hampshire, and Waterford, Vermont, and is part of the Fifteen Mile Falls Hydroelectric Project under FERC License No. P-2077. It is the largest conventional hydropower plant in New England, built around a 3,490-acre, 11-mile-long reservoir behind a 178-foot dam. The station's five operating generators comprise four original 1957 units of 47.7 MW each plus a new 4.6 MW unit that came online in October 2023 to improve minimum-flow releases, for a combined nameplate of about 195.4 MW. It is owned and operated by Great River Hydro, LLC, which acquired the plant as part of a 13-station Connecticut/Deerfield River portfolio in 2017. The plant settles into ISO New England at the LD.MOORE 13.8 node. Its FERC license, issued April 8, 2002, runs through March 31, 2042, and no unit or whole-plant retirement is scheduled.
