School Street is a 38.8 MW conventional hydroelectric project on the Mohawk River in Cohoes, New York, spanning Albany and Saratoga Counties. The facility comprises five vertical-shaft Francis turbine-generator units located in a powerhouse downstream from a dam constructed in 1831. Electric generation began in 1916, with additional units added in 1922 and 1925.
