Tennessee Eastman Operations is the combined heat and power system at Eastman Chemical Company's Kingsport, Tennessee complex, one of the largest chemical manufacturing sites in North America. Seventeen coal and natural gas boilers and nineteen steam turbines give it about 200 MW of maximum generating capacity, and all electricity is used on site. The first system began operating in 1930, and the CHP supplies over 90% of the site's thermal and electric demand. Five pulverized coal boilers in one powerhouse were converted to natural gas in 2018.
