Timbermill Wind, LLC is a 189 MW onshore wind facility located in Chowan County, North Carolina, north of Edenton. The facility comprises 45 Vestas V150-4.2 turbines across approximately 6,300 acres and entered commercial operation in December 2024. Apex Clean Energy owns and developed the project. Google contracted for the facility's full output under a power purchase agreement to support its PJM-grid data center operations. (Dominion Energy) owns the transmission and distribution infrastructure. The project was the first wind facility approved by North Carolina's Department of Environmental Quality under the state's 2013 wind-siting program and is North Carolina's second wind farm.
