Invenergy announced completion of construction financing for Traverse with a March 1, 2021 close date. Santander, MUFG, Natixis, SMBC, and CIBC served as coordinating lead arrangers. GE Energy Financial Services partnered as a project investor.
Traverse Wind Project, LLC achieved in-service status with a 998.20 MW capacity rating in the SWPP balancing authority area. SWEPCO owns 54.5% and PSO owns 45.5% of the jointly owned unit.
AEP announced that Traverse Wind Energy Center had begun commercial operations and is now providing clean energy to SWEPCO and PSO customers. The facility is the largest single wind farm built at one time in North America.
