High-Resolution Weather Forecast GridNOAA · 15-minute forecast grid	A sub-hourly, vintage-stamped surface weather forecast over the continental United States. Each grid cell and valid time carries air temperature, wind vectors, radiation, precipitation, pressure, and related fields from NOAA's High-Resolution Rapid Refresh model. Modeled line ratings sample this grid along each mapped route, keep the forecast issue time, and apply only lead times that pass the public validation gate; this is forecast evidence, not a measurement at the conductor.
Line Rating Weather ValidationAsk the Grid · daily validation run	Daily, leakage-safe validation of the forecast weather used by the modeled line-rating experiment. Each run scores fixed forecast lead times against realized public station temperatures, records temperature and rating-error metrics, and declares whether a lead band passes the release gate. The table contains aggregate validation results only: it does not retain station rows, operator facility ratings, restricted records, or line-level benchmark data.

Weather Forecast Grid (Current + Ahead)Open-Meteo · hourly (forecast, 1-3 day leads)	Hourly weather forecasts on the same 0.25 degree latitude and longitude grid as the history table, extending about two days ahead — this is the dataset for current conditions and the hours in front of them, since the ERA5 history trails real time by several days. Rich per-point coverage: temperature, apparent and wet-bulb temperature, humidity, cloud cover, shortwave and direct radiation, wind speed and direction at 10, 80, 120, and 180 meters, gusts, precipitation, and CAPE — the drivers behind load, wind output, and solar output. Rows are vintage-stamped by lead_days (days between forecast issue and the valid hour); multiple vintages coexist per valid hour, so take the minimum lead_days per (valid_time, location_id) for the freshest view of any hour.
