Overview

The map uses these zonal LBMP locations for NYISO's live price dots, with IDs matching NYISO MIS zone names such as WEST, CAPITL, N.Y.C., and LONGIL.

Read nyiso.rt_lmp_zone with FINAL before comparison or aggregation.

Analysis rules

  • For a load-zone ranking, filter zone_name using the registered 'NYISO load zones' entity set. Do not label external proxy interfaces such as H Q, O H, NPX, or PJM as NYISO load zones.
  • Use the registered energy_component derived measure for price decomposition. Never reconstruct NYISO energy with an unregistered sign convention.

Interpretation

  • The published congestion_component is subtracted in NYISO's display identity; do not treat it as an ordinary additive adder.
  • A congestion price component does not establish that a specific constraint was binding. Do not characterize an energy component unless it was returned or queried through the registered measure.
